Kona Mauka - 100% Hawaiian Coffee

• Varietal - Kona Typica (Guatemalan strain) - Low acidity resulting in low bitterness.
• Process - Washed - This process involves removing the cherry skin from the coffee beans at which point the organic matter and mucilage is stripped off by washing with water before the beans are dried. This removes any impurities and gives the coffee a cleaner taste.
• Roast - Medium
• Flavor Notes - Candied orange, apricot jam, and roasted nuts, with a creamy mouthfeel.
• Comes in 12 oz only

In Hawaiian, the word "mauka" is directional, guiding us mountainward, toward the uplands. Our Kona Mauka coffee has a special relationship with the mountains, grown on the higher reaches of the Farm, where the air is cool, the soils are rich, and the mornings greet the trees first with light.

Just like the tranquil and inspiring views of the mountains rising above our Farm, Kona Mauka evokes the essential relationship between mountain and island here in Hawaiʻi, like the relationship between our Kona farm and our ʻohana far and near. We hope you enjoy!
